Driving directions from Miami International Airport: From the airport exit, take NW 21st St and turn right onto LeJeune Rd south. Take ramp onto 836 heading west and then take exit ramp for NW 87th Ave North. Turn left onto NW 12th St and then right onto 87th Ave NW. Proceed north on NW 87th, resort entrance is just past Doral Blvd on the left. Taxis, rental cars, and shuttle vans are the most common ways used to get from the airport to the resort and back. Transportation options are available on the ground level of the airport terminal, outside the baggage claim area. There is a flat-rate taxi fare to the hotel from MIA: $5–$15. SuperShuttle service to resort: $5–$15. Car rentals available through this site. Rates are subject to change without advanced notice. Getting around: It's possible for guests to taxi to and from the airport and walk around the resort grounds. However, to get to area attractions such as downtown Miami, local museums, and the South Beach area guests are best served by renting a car: more than $36. Street parking can sometimes be problematic in Miami's tourist areas.

In addition to PGA tour–quality golfing (the resort’s Blue Monster course hosts numerous tournaments), the resort has 11 tennis courts and pro instruction at the Arthur Ashe Tennis Center, two fitness centers, and a water-recreation area called the Blue Lagoon with four pools, a waterfall, and a waterslide. The resort’s spa provides body treatments, massage, fitness facilities (including classes), and a beauty salon. The Doral is composed of 11 low-slung buildings in addition to its golf courses, pools, and tennis facilities. A conference-center wing of the resort houses more than 40 meeting rooms, totaling 100,000 square feet of event space. As the site of an annual PGA championship tournament (and several others), the resort features a whopping five championship golf courses: the legendary Blue Monster course; the Gold Course, redesigned by Raymond Floyd; the desert-landscaped Great White Course, designed by Greg Norman; the Red Course, with two island greens; and the Silver Course, which was renovated by Jerry Pate. There is also a driving range and a golf center, the Jim McLean Golf School, on site. The Doral is truly a golfing mecca. In addition, the resort has 11 tennis courts (both clay and hard courts; some lit for night play) and an Arthur Ashe Tennis Center with professional instruction. There is also a pool complex with two large pools complete with waterfall, rock façade, and 125-foot waterslide, as well as two fitness centers, and a full-service spa. Miami’s South Beach is approximately half an hour away by car. The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.
